What makes Swanton Hill special? Lots!
Convenient location: Swanton Hill offers easy access to downtown Atlanta, Midtown, Emory University and its world-renowned system of hospitals and clinics, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The neighborhood is a five-minute walk to the Decatur MARTA rail station.
Neighborhood covenants: To help ensure that Swanton Hill always remain a pleasant place to live and to protect owners' property values, our homeowners elect board members to enact and enforce community rules. For example: New owners may not lease their unit until after they have lived here for at least 12 months. Exterior changes (i.e. paint color, fence, roofing) must be approved prior to the change. Owners are required to keep their homes in good repair.
City of Decatur schools: Our school system's high school graduation rate is 96.73 percent! Decatur students perform above the state and national averages on standardized tests at all grade levels. City Schools of Decatur routinely ranks among the top ten districts in Georgia for SAT performance. Decatur High School has been named an AP Challenge and AP Merit school in Georgia.
Urban oasis: Swanton Hill is a community of 80 townhomes on eight acres of greenspace in a bustling small city. Few neighborhoods in metro Atlanta boast the rare combination of aesthetic and recreational amenities that Swanton Hill provides—a pool, tennis court, community garden, and additional beautifully landscaped areas—all neatly tucked away just a few minutes' walk from shops, restaurants, public transportation, and parks in downtown Decatur.
